A2A: Access 2 Amsterdam

NEW MUSIC CONFERENCE
A new international music convention, dubbed Access To Amsterdam (A2A), is to be added in the Netherlands. Under the direction of SXSW co-founder Louis Jay Meyers, A2A will be a music-driven conference, which should set it apart from other industry trade fairs, such as MIDEM and PopKomm.
The inaugural event, featuring 300 live concerts and a daytime seminar, will take place October 17-20 this year. A2A has been set up by the Dutch Rock and Pop Institute (NPI) and will be funded by governmental subsidies for the first four years. Local promoter Mojo Concerts/SFX Entertainment is involved with the concept.
