Now our commentary with commentator George Butler

"THE FLAG WAVING NON-VOTERS"

There was a mayoral election on the 6th of November year 2001 in Austin, Texas and there was an attack on our country in the form of a crashbombing of The World Trade Towers in New York City on September 11, 2001. The public’s response following the 9-11 event was an outpouring of patriotism, compassion, and grief for those lost in the crashbombing. The other response was resentment and hatred for those who supported and carried out the attack. This was such a strong reaction and response that a resolute public was created some swearing publicly and others swearing to themselves and their country that justice be done. The election in Austin, Texas in additional to electing a new mayor had a number of local and state bond issues for voters to either approve or reject. The outcome of the election was that a new mayor was elected and all the bond issues passed. The turnout was poor not only at the local level but also at the state level.

Soon after the crashbombing there was a great frenzy of flag waving but the poor turn out of voters for the recent election in Austin, Texas says that there is a disconnect. Somehow the voter can be moved by great tragedy but the day to day activity of participatory democracy is not exciting enough. The public seems to be in a daze they continually vote for most bond issues placed before them They seem to be unknowingly creating election by election a greater debt slavery. The dynamic of corralling and persuading voters to approve a greater debt that further limits their spendable income is not entirely perplexing. Education is one of the primary hustles that ensnare the voter. It’s not that we don’t need to build schools but the waste, corruption and overspending is causing an undue debt burden to be placed on the taxpayer. This burden is destroying the economic viability of the country for consumer spending is the force behind a robust economy.

The unity flowing from the 9-11 tragedy was in stark contrast to disgruntled, apathetic, and cynical voters who turn out in large numbers primarily for national elections. The strong response of the public’s patriotism demonstrated that a deep and strongly seeded respect for American ideals still exists side by side with the public’s rightfully so, distrust, and cynicism of a corrupt political system.

Now some closing statements.

"Know Thy Self"

"Know Thy Thoughts"

"Know Thy World"

The first "Know Thyself" was a saying used by Socrates to teach. This saying helps one to understand their own personality and character traits so that one might be able to reform those negative traits.

The second, "Know Thy Thoughts" denotes a process of being able to observe ones thoughts as they are unfolding and how those thoughts mold one's actions.

The third "Know Thy World" is a journey of discovery of worldly things. We should endeavor to discover those systems that control us through a systemized state of debasement.

In the end we must expose and reveal truth, so we might speak for freedom, a freedom built up by a belief in God, humbling oneself, bending thy knee to a higher power and redirecting of one's soul in a new direction where worldly things are unimportant and Godly things the only path, the only way, the only direction.

In Closing remember these words:

BE GOOD TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS!
